A collage of memorabilia from our wedding....
Beginning of the tool shed
middle

and voila!

Outdoor, gravity fed shower :)

Lot's of hanging tomato plants= so much salsa!

This is a mailbox that I built before I knew the USPS won't deliver to shady mailboxes....but a bird built a nest in it, so it got some use anyways!
Sheet Rock, Color, and Trim, oh my! I somehow missed getting a picture of the peak of the house where we have some bright-fully colored trim (and no insulation showing!)...next time!
Oh yes, that is a propane run refrigerator.  Exited to welcome condiments and ice cream back into our lives!

Wood crate cabinets and a refinished pine countertop that doubled our counter space--so nice!

The house has come a long ways since the last post!  Lucas has been busy finishing the interior so we can pass our final inspection.  School is going well, but I'm excited  to be on a 2 week break so that I can get the garden planted, and go visit our new neice who is arriving soon!  Enjoy the pics!

The interior walls are almost completely finished!  The wood is reclaimed barn board from the Amish Wal-mart

Note the amazing addition of the plantar, and the lack of pink insulation showing through!  Battons have started going on!

Raspberry bushes and our bird feeder
Hops!  Lucas created these amazing trellesses out of branches and vines for the hops to crawl up

Garlic from Grandma Audrey Slack :)
Hops climbing away.

Grandma Audrey Arnold's wind chime found a spot :)

We got a table saw for Christmas--Thanks Dad!

Trim, and the last tiny bit of insulation visible in the front room
Trim on the finished ceiling

The futon was a very welcome wedding present from Gary and Diana.  So comfortable!
The brown chair was a freebie on main street in Viroqua, I love it :)
This leaded glass window was a gift from my mom
and used to be a part of her front door

Another shot of the new futon.

Long Awaited Updates

Oh yes, Lucas built a closet for me for Christmas!  The 2 doors on the left are on a sliding track, and the far right door opens to reveal my dresser.  He exchanged an extra woodstove that we bought on craigslist for the doors, and made $50 on the trade in as well!
Lucas made this gorgeous butcher block for food prep using tools at work.

Lucas and Nathaniel working hard on chopping a load of wood.
The front room is now completely sheet rocked.  Now on to mudding, and then laminate floor!

A quick shot of our wood stove, now backed by corregated steel.

I'll try to make the next post much sooner.  I have a bunch of outside shots on another camera to upload too!
