Sorry about the delay in posting, Lucas starting working up at Thistledew again, so temporarily his schedule is back to 8 days gone, 12 days back.  Enjoy the new pics!

made a closet from a rachet tie down....

We have a light!  Lucas bought a car battery that can be inside, and a power inverter, so now we can use a true business lamp.

It's been a big week!

We've had lot's help from family this week.  There are two windows installed, and the outside is completely insulated.

This picture was taken from the loft!

Ladder pot rack

We now have a propane stove, and a sink set up.  There is a bucket under the sink to catch drainage, and we run water from the tank on the shelf.

This week we hope to insulate an inside wall, get rid of the mice, find the LED lights, add a front room, install block glass along the roof line, and move the bed up to the loft.

Cut in 2 & Ready To Go!

Lucas rocked through several 98 degree days last week and cut the roof in two, supported the interior beams on the structure, and saved the old wood for us to use later.  It's ready to move!!  Now we're waiting on a quote from some Amish people :)

Here are a few shots of the grainery all cleaned out!   We're waiting to hear back from a company that moves buildings, and once it is on our site we'll install windows, insulation, and more...

Check out those 2 x 6 solid oak timbers :)
We will put a loft over these rafters for our bed, and then ad a dormer for more headroom
Lucas found the old wood stove amongst the random things inside the grainery, and is working on getting it into operating shape for winter.
A lot of trees had to be cleared to make space to move the grainery in.

Top 8 reasons to start your married life in a tent

     8. You can't slam doors when you fight, and zipping the tent door shut angrily has little effect...(ala Mitch Hedberg)

    7. Cold nights only help you snuggle closer.
    6. Hobo dinners make for elegant, cheap meals (especially in the face of post-wedding debt).
    5. Romantic campfires every night.
   4. Intimate bonding while searching each other for ticks.
  3.  List of cleaning chores entails: pick up tent, shake.
  2. Who can resist a woman wearing overalls and a doo-rag?
  1. Your angry, anti-social dogpark dog suddenly becomes an awesome guard dog.
